In 2022, the apartment was very clean, the beds and shower were clean, and everything we needed was there. Frau Renker was always available with advice about sights and things to do nearby. The W-Lahn had improved quite a bit since the year before, and there was no more open Wi-Fi. We felt at home and very welcome. It’s a nice place for a few days, with trips to Koblenz, Spay, and Nassau possible. The local bus and connecting train run hourly with the guest ticket. We also enjoyed being able to reach the Lahn river and an imbiss on foot. In 2020, I'd give the stay 10/10. The owner had taken precautions for Covid, with disinfection supplies available and door handles cleaned daily. The beds and mattresses were better than on my last visit. The owner was helpful and always available to suggest sightseeing options in the region. There were lots of brochures and leaflets about hiking and cycling routes, sights, and other things to do. The stay was very pleasant, and I'd visit again. The Lahn river and an imbiss are within walking distance. Keep in mind that it's farther from Lahnstein center, but you sleep very well at night. In the center of Lahnstein, trains make noise at night. My 2019 stay was 9.6/10, and I really enjoyed it. The apartment had a cozy interior, was clean, and sat in a quiet area about a 10 min drive from Lahnstein. The nights were quiet, so I slept very well. You could get there by public bus from Lahnstein on weekdays or drive your own car. Just be aware it's on the 2nd floor and up a hill, so you end up using the stairs quite a bit. It may not suit elderly guests. You can relax in the garden, where the owner provides a sitting area with a 'strandkorb', table, and chairs. There was plenty of reading material about things to do in the region, and the owner was easy to approach with questions or if something needed attention. She really gave you that holiday feeling. You can cook for yourself in the kitchen and use the fridge. I really recommend this place for a quiet, comfortable stay close to Lahnstein, with lots of hiking areas nearby. Rating: 9,6.
