The restaurant food was brilliant, and the steak was delicious. The room itself was plain but very comfortable. I'd definitely recommend it if you're travelling in this part of Germany.

For a one or two night stay, it works well, though the rooms are quite small and there's no air conditioning or minibar. Breakfast was excellent and the service staff were courteous. Lady Mak was especially helpful.

The setting is beautiful, and the view from the room was good. The heating worked very well, and the linen was clean and nice. The baths felt a bit cramped, and there was no tea or coffee maker in the room. It's a nice place to stop for a night in Schawanau, though the place has an old-fashioned look.

The restaurant's outdoor seating is peaceful, and we enjoyed the food there. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced, especially the spaghetti with salmon. The hotel itself is really nice, though it doesn't have an elevator.

The rooms were very nice and clean, and the food was fantastic. The steak in particular was excellent. Highly recommend!
