The restaurant is amazingly good, and the host is authentic, genuinely helpful, calm, and practical. I have a feeling I’ll miss him when we leave. The room is rustic, with a few small faults, but it was better than I expected and they don’t bother me. Great sunset view, too.

The food was great, and we really enjoyed our three days at Walderhaus. Our room had everything we needed and was just right, with lovely hosts making the place feel cozy. Step outside and there’s a beautiful hill and a really picturesque view. We’d be happy to come back.

The schnitzel was juicy, cooked just right, and full of flavor. I was a little unsure about the food at first because the prices seemed so reasonable, but that concern disappeared as soon as we ate. The meal was excellent. Waldlerhaus in Lam has the rustic, welcoming feel of a traditional Bavarian Forest inn. The food is delicious, the prices are fair, and the place is cozy and down to earth. The service started out a bit reserved, then grew much warmer during our visit. By the end, our server was friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to. We felt very welcome and would gladly return.
