I’m writing this from the bed while I’m still here, counting the minutes until I can get out. The room was dirty and smelled of smoke, and I was even worried about where I’d left my phone. The bathrooms are absurdly small, seem to be made of plastic, and stink. Forget the idea that all you need is a bed to rest your head: this place gave me a headache. At 48 euros a night, it’s a joke and not worth half that. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

The only thing I’d change is the shower: it’s fixed above your head, with no flexible hose. Apart from that, the room was comfortable and clean, including the toilet and shower, and the bed was very comfortable. I stayed one night with children and thought the rooms were very nice.

The rooms have a distinctive design, and the heating and TV worked fine. I also liked the unusual shower, and the price seemed fair for a one-star hotel. But cleanliness needs work: there were stains and smells around the room, even on the bed, and mold was growing in the shower. The Wi-Fi didn’t work either. Check-in is done at a machine: enter your booking numbers and details on a virtual keyboard, then it gives you an RFID key card. It’s handy to be able to arrive at almost any time, and the machine has several languages, but it’s painfully slow and needs maintenance. You have to repeat the process by hand for every room, and some step-by-step instructions would help. The machine malfunctioned when we tried to get a key for one of our rooms. The emergency number went to voicemail, so we had to make do with the other rooms. My stay was OK, but the place felt neglected. For a one-star hotel, I mainly expect cleanliness, a fair price, and an easy check-in. This could be better.

At 44 euros, this was a bargain: a nice, clean room, and pets are welcome. You can check in or out any time of day using the payment machine downstairs, which offers five languages and is very helpful. Good hotel for the price, highly recommend. Thanks.
