Pension Rialto

Quiet, small, and clean, with a really nice, easygoing owner. It works just fine for an inexpensive overnight stay, especially if you only need to sleep, shower, then get back on the road the next day. It's close to the Kassel/Staufenberg highway. 👍😎

The rooms were neat and clean, and the shared kitchen had enough equipment. The host was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The only downside was having just two single beds in the room. It's also a little out of the way.

Pension Rialto is in a cul-de-sac, with a small patch of grass diagonally across the street where our dog could go before bed. We booked one night for two people and our dog. The basement room was clean and pleasant, with a window, including in the bathroom, and the blinds were a nice touch. Apart from hand soap, there weren't any other amenities. A hairdryer would have been useful. We didn't use the shared kitchen because it wasn't very clean. It looked like neither the previous guests nor the host had tidied up, which was a shame. One thing to watch: the guesthouse is at number 32, while a restaurant with the same name is at the start of the same street. They're separate places, but Google Maps showed them as one, and a correction has been submitted. That's why some of the reviews got mixed together.

The service was super friendly, and the food was a must. I had a wonderful meal and can only recommend it. I'll definitely eat there again. Perfect for a date.
