The houses are reasonable overall, but the floorboards creak with every step. The bathwater was neither cold nor hot. In the house I stayed in, the kitchen was quite small, the stove was old, and the oven hadn't been cleaned in ten years.

A lovely village to stay in, with a helpful, easygoing host. Goslar is easy to get to, and there are some nice bikes on site too.

We felt at home here, thanks to the very kind owner and lady. The beds are really comfortable, and the kitchen has plenty of dishes. It's a typical old German house with wooden floors, covered in a plastic material that feels comfortable under bare feet. The garden was the one letdown, since it looked better in the photos, though we'd arrived after a spell of bad weather. The price was very good.

The garden view didn't quite match the photos. Inside, this beautiful old half-timbered house feels a bit like the 90s, and both the bathroom and the very nostalgic gas stove could do with an update.

For the price, this place is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. The Wi-Fi is better than expected, with speeds over 20 Mbps. The only real drawback for us was the small 24-inch TV. We had to move it about 1.5 meters closer to see it properly. If the TV size doesn't bother you, it's a very good choice, almost a five-star stay for what it costs.
