Good value for money, and the guesthouse is simple, clean, and perfectly fine for a night. The mattresses are very soft, though. Breakfast had a good selection, but the rolls were poor quality. It's a small thing, yet fresh bakery rolls on Saturdays would be nice.

A handy base for exploring the Harz, and a pleasant guesthouse even if you're booking a single room. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly. Some spoke good German and others less, but everyone tried hard to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was fine for the price, which included an overnight stay. I didn't try dinner, and the restaurant was very quiet that evening. The kitchen and restaurant close after 8 pm.

We'd definitely come back. The family atmosphere and friendly staff made for a lovely stay, and the breakfast buffet had a huge selection. Wi-Fi was excellent, the bed was very comfortable even without a slatted base, and the price was good for what you get. A great overnight stop for bikers.

The rooms were clean and practical, but we wouldn't return. The mattresses were only so-so, and breakfast was poor. In 30-degree heat, everything was left unrefrigerated, the rolls were rock hard, and nothing was replenished.
