The reception team was friendly and helpful, and they got the living room heating working again fairly quickly. Still, for more than €1500 a week, we expected a lot more from apartment 3.13. It felt cold and sparsely furnished, with bare walls and everything merely functional. The cleaning was poor too, especially for the €160 final cleaning fee: the windows were dirty, and the floor left dark marks on a paper towel when I cleaned up water from our dog's bowl right after we arrived. Noise was a major problem throughout our week. We were woken at seven by the people downstairs, could hear children running around in the hallway, and even heard chairs scraping below us. There was no chance of a quiet afternoon nap. The radio didn't work either; when I mentioned it, the caretaker said it was a known problem in other apartments too because the radio was old. The house looks great from the outside and feels almost like a four-star place inside, and its central location is convenient. But nearly two weeks after calling the Upstalboom booking hotline about my complaint, I'm still waiting for a callback.

We spent a lovely week in the height of summer on Langeoog. Our modern, well-equipped apartment was on the ground floor, right in the town center. It was peaceful there, and the beach wasn't far away.

The location is handy: quiet but central, with the beach a short walk away and a supermarket just across the street. The resort was clean, tidy, and in good condition, with appealing rooms that felt spacious. For this price, though, several things fell short. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, there was no oven or soap, and we only got two dishwasher tablets and two toilet rolls. The towels were very thin, and using the washing machine cost €4. The water was yellowish and the bath water never really got hot. The spa area was disappointing too, very bare, with just three loungers. A fruit bowl or a few small touches would have helped. The place has a high standard in general, but some of these details need improvement to match the price.

The apartment had plenty of space, a pleasant feel, and good modern furnishings.
