6/10
The service was good, and breakfast was decent, though the coffee wasn’t. It’s a large, pleasant hotel, but it feels old, and the furnishings do too. The restaurant menu had only six schnitzel dishes, with no beef or fish. Our room was nearly clean but had no fridge. The bed was too soft, which may be a problem for some people. The TV was small, and the Wi-Fi kept disconnecting after I connected and opened my emails.

The portions were huge and the food was really tasty. Everyone was very friendly, too. It’s about 5 km from Giessen, which is a fantastic, lively town.
