The staff were really friendly, and breakfast had everything I wanted. The restaurant is about 300 meters around the corner, so be ready for a short walk. My room was clean, roomy, and furnished in a modern way, but being beside a main road meant weekday mornings started early with the noise. I’d expect weekends to be quieter. It could also get very hot under the roof in midsummer.
We found the beds comfortable, and the shower ventilation worked well without making much noise, even though there’s no window in there. The room was bright, spacious, and set up functionally, with a kettle, coffee starters, and two bottles of mineral water. There was no bottle opener, though. From Room 6, the window looks onto part of a workshop’s backyard. Since we stayed over a weekend and public holiday, we didn’t have any noise trouble.
Breakfast at the restaurant was the highlight, a buffet with a big choice and everything tasted good. The service deserves special thanks. The room itself wasn’t especially comfortable. The mattress was okay, but the linen wasn’t very good.
I was told I could switch rooms, but the receptionist on the evening shift hadn’t heard anything about it, and the whole thing just carried on. The room smelled strongly of old, cold smoke. There was mold in the bathroom and splashes on the door. I can’t recommend it, the service was terrible.
Breakfast was good, but the room was tiny. The duvet was too short and too thin, the shower didn’t work at all, and I had to hold on because its rod was broken.
