The kids had loads of fun, so we’d happily stop here again when we’re passing through. There’s plenty to do, including the lake and a playbarn, and everything was clean during our stay. We’d read about the mosquitoes and came prepared, though there were still a lot of them. One downside was that all the paperwork and campsite notices were only in German, which left us feeling a bit left out. The women at reception spoke a little English, though, so we managed to get by.

I was cycling through and stayed one night. It was busy with kids on holiday, and pretty noisy, though things quietened down by 10pm. The bins could have been emptied more often. Still, it seems like a good campsite if you’re travelling with kids.

There’s plenty of room for the children to play, and lots of animals around. The atmosphere was pleasant too. A really good place for families with little kids, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The campfire-style barbecue at 5pm each day was a highlight for us grown-ups. You can bring meat, sausages or corn on the cob and join in. We also found everyone relaxed, friendly and open. For families, there’s a lake, a playground, loads of space, and an indoor play area in a barn. The children can pet and feed the animals, and get a pony ride around the yard once a day. If you need to work while travelling, o2 covers the whole campsite with LTE800, so working from here is possible.
