Am St Georg

Quiet, clean and cozy, this is a lovely little hotel right by St. Georg Hospital. The breakfast room in the comfortable conservatory is excellent. There’s a large parking lot of its own, but GPS users should know the hotel address won’t take you to it. The entrance is roughly opposite Dreilitzscher Str. 145.

I was very comfortable during my two-day stay in October, and the hotel was lovely. Breakfast in the conservatory was excellent. I also want to thank them again for understanding my situation. Otherwise, I’d have had to wait outside for several hours for my ride home.

I’ve been staying here for a training course over the past four months, and I feel incredibly comfortable. I usually don’t like hotels, but St. Georg is a real exception, and I’d book it again in a heartbeat when I’m in or near Leipzig. I’ve tried almost all the rooms, and every one has been very cozy and exceptionally clean. The owner is incredibly kind, makes time for me even when it’s hectic, and takes care of my occasional extra requests. The charming outdoor area, with its little pond and thoughtful design, feels like a homey garden and invites you to linger. The tram stop is just a minute away, which is a huge plus. This hotel really makes visitors feel welcome. I took a picture of the outdoor area as soon as I saw it.

Our whole group could stay on one floor, which was fantastic. During the gymnastics festival week, we were lucky to stay at Hotel "Am Sankt Georg." The rooms were charming and practical, and breakfast in the lovely conservatory was plentiful and clearly prepared with care. We felt very comfortable, thanks especially to our landlady’s warm hospitality and, of course, the three loyal cats. She handled personal requests with typical Leipzig charm and accommodating service. Our Berlin women's sports group thought it was really great, and we’d love to come back.
