We really enjoyed our two-night stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and very nice, with no wall-to-wall carpet, comfortable beds, and a kitchenette area. The tasteful chic decor was a nice touch. It's a great location, about a five-minute walk to the main train station, with the major city center attractions easy to reach on foot. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. We'll look for other Fraser hotels on our travels.

The room was spacious, and mine was on the sixth floor. There’s a good fitness room, and continental breakfast is served in the lounge. Parking is available nearby. A very nice hotel right in downtown Leipzig.

I was surprised to get an email after checkout accusing me of tampering with the smoke detector and asking for €200. I hadn’t touched it or reported anything, and during my stay I didn’t even know there was an issue. Looking back through the photos I routinely take as soon as I enter a hotel room, I found one showing the detector was already covered when I arrived. That left me concerned about guest safety, trust, and privacy. A covered smoke detector is a fire hazard. I can’t say for sure, but I also worry that a cover could conceal a camera or create other privacy risks. It makes me wonder whether some hotels might use accusations like this to charge guests after checkout when they have no proof. I’m sharing what happened and the evidence, not making accusations. For future stays, I’d suggest taking photos or videos of the room as soon as you arrive, especially of safety equipment. I’m a frequent traveler and a high-ranked Google Maps reviewer, and I take pictures and videos from the moment I enter each room. I hope this helps other travelers protect themselves.

The apartment had a large living room and a well-stocked kitchen, with a stovetop, microwave, utensils, plates, pots and pans, plus dish soap and a sponge. I’d asked for a high floor and a firm mattress, and got both. The location is right downtown, a five-minute walk from the main train station and the pedestrian shopping street. The shared balcony on the seventh floor felt odd. There are no dividers, privacy, or security, so someone from another room could walk right up to mine and enter through an open window. They should reconsider that setup.
