Hotel de Saxe

The service was great and the food was delicious. Our room had the basic things we needed, and we enjoyed sitting on the lovely terrace during dinner. The hotel was being renovated while we were there, so I bet it'll look even better afterwards. It's an Asian hotel, by the way, with a great range of vegan food.

The rooms were cozy, clean, and tidy, with decor that felt neat but still welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were pleasant and professional. My company booked the stay, but if I come back to Leipzig I'd definitely choose this hotel again.

The breakfast was great, and the staff were polite and nice. The hotel is easy to find, right by a tram station. But the busy road and tram stop are right outside, so you’ll be woken in the morning. The rooms have carpeted floors that seem to get vacuumed but not cleaned. There were no queen or king beds, although we'd booked one, just 90 cm beds that can be pushed together. The Wi-Fi on the second floor was awful. I'd think twice about staying here for a vacation, though it could work for a work trip.

The breakfast was okay, but the place could use some care. There was an old bed left in the stairwell, partly blocking the fire extinguisher, and the towels need replacing. A small bar of soap would have been nicer than the little bottle they provide.
