It was OK.

The breakfast was generous and delicious, and the value for money was truly excellent. The rooms and breakfast room had a charming feel, and everything was spotlessly clean. I like a quiet atmosphere more than the bustle of a city, so I'd stay here again. Wahren S-Bahn station is about a six-minute walk away, and the S3 takes nine minutes to Leipzig Central Station. There's plenty of parking beside the building. By prior arrangement, I collected my key at 1:00 PM on arrival day and had the rest of the day to myself. I stayed two weekend nights. Though I booked a single, I got a double room with a separate table and an extra sleeping option. It was functional and clean, with a firm mattress. The weekend was quiet, and I didn't notice the cigarette smell in the corridor that's been mentioned several times here. Breakfast came with three rolls and plenty of toppings like cheese, sausage and jam. One morning there was an egg, and the other, a yogurt.

The staff were very friendly, and despite the guesthouse being on a main road, it was very quiet. Some furnishings were damaged. I would have liked whole-grain rolls at breakfast, though there was otherwise a good selection of cold cuts and cheese.
