Pension Leipzig Georgplatz

The rooms were clean and didn't feel dark or dirty, though the place itself is more like a two- or three-star hotel than a luxury one. The receptionist was incredibly kind. He moved me to the largest, best room without my even asking, and didn't charge me for it. There are three floors and no elevator, so it's stairs all the way. You can hear people talking in neighboring rooms, but my upgraded room was on the first floor and I couldn't hear anyone next door.

I came to Leipzig for a training course and was glad to have a comfortable bed to come back to. There was a TV too, though I was too tired to turn it on. The rooms were lovely, clean and quiet, and the prices were good. The landlord was nice as well. It covered everything I needed, and anything extra would have felt like a luxury. I'll come back.

I got out of there and moved to another hotel on my last day. The room looked acceptable for the price at first, but a closer look turned up several hygiene problems. There was an empty beer bottle in the closet, the pillow smelled as though someone had slept on it for five days, and it was much too thin to rest my head on. I also found black mold in the shower. Worst of all, there was a camera in the ceiling light. I'll post pictures. Absolutely filthy, and I hope this warns people away. Please don't stay here. Best regards.

We found the rooms clean, comfortable and quiet, and we'd happily stay again. There's no reception at the guesthouse, but getting in touch with the landlord was excellent.
