Luga Homes - Stadthaus Hotel

The staff were so kind, and they helped us warmly over Christmas. The place was clean and warm, and I loved the interior design so much I’d like to stay again. I hope it keeps doing well.

We booked two superior apartments and found them good overall, though the tram outside made them a bit noisy. The location is handy for walking to the train station and public parking, which cost 14€/day. There was no dishwasher, which I would have liked, and the curtains let in the morning sun, making it hard to sleep once it rose. Booking on their website gets you cheaper rates.

The room looks just like the photos, and it was all very clean and new. It was large and tidy, with comfortable beds, and we slept well through the night. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a great shower. They also provided complimentary water, coffee and tea facilities, and welcome biscuits. Access to this well-preserved old German building was by a modern digital code, and there’s an elevator for luggage. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Leipzig’s Main Train Station (Leipziger Hauptbahnhof). I’ll definitely come back.

After working for more than 10 years as a House Keeping Manager in well-known hotels and apartments abroad and in Hungary, I always wished my own team could be like the one at Luga Homes. I judge rooms professionally wherever I go, and this isn’t a “paid advertisement.” As the saying goes, guests always drop their pen where you haven’t cleaned. Quality comes first, and Luga Homes gets it right. The apartment was clean and dust-free, which matters a lot because my son has severe dust allergies and asthma. He has struggled with dust in many other places, but not here. We stayed in the apartment on Berliner Strasse from January 31 to February 03, after friends recommended the place. The team are the best in Leipzig, in my view. You can always reach them by phone, and they handle problems as quickly as they can. One evening I asked for a heating fan, and it arrived with a lovely smile. When the bus company notified me of a schedule change just 20 minutes before departure, their help was professional and meant I didn’t miss my bus, though it caused a bit of a stir for the team. The kitchen was very well equipped. I especially appreciated finding coffee capsules and cream in the cupboard alongside the regular coffee. We were delighted to book with them again for our next trip. People may laugh, but we even set our travel dates around which apartments with balconies were available. We were willing to wait and check every hour for one to open up. I’m grateful for their hard work, professionalism, dedication to the job and guest-focused approach.
