Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Leipzig

We were travelling as a family of three, and our son was thrilled with the little playroom in our family room. It had a bunk bed and toys. The room and bed were clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was great, with some choices changing each day, and the staff were so warm and friendly. The hotel is right across the road from the main Train Station, and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk into the centre for restaurants, shops and cafes. I also liked the courtyard, especially the water feature in the middle. It was a peaceful place to sit or have breakfast. There were jigsaw puzzles and other activities in the lobby too. One kind gesture really stayed with us: our son's beloved teddy was left behind, and the staff mailed it back after we contacted them. We had a memorable few days in Leipzig and would love to come back one day.

The central location is really convenient, right across from the Hauptbahnhof, with sightseeing buses just by the entrance. The rooms are spacious and have plenty of shelves for clothes. I heard that rooms facing the inner courtyard cost extra, but they're quieter. The trams outside can be loud with the windows open. Those windows can only be opened if you sign a form at reception and get a key. There's no air conditioning or heating, just a central vent that you can't adjust, which is a major downside. You can ask reception for a mini fridge or kettle, earplugs, different pillows and other things. If you need something, it's probably best to ask, since they only offer many items on request.

The buffet breakfast was lovely, with lots to choose from. If, like me, you drink decaf, bring your own coffee since most hotels don't have any. The rooms were nice and quiet. It's 5 minutes from the train station and 12 minutes from the city center.

We paid extra for breakfast, and it was well worth it. There was a big selection of delicious food and drinks. The staff were wonderful, and our room was comfortable and quiet for a very nice rate. The location is perfect too, just a short walk across from Leipzig hbf train station and close to lots of attractions in the central city area.
