Schöne Apartments in Lengerich

The rooms were clean and the location was quiet and good, so I had no complaints about those. But the way the employees treated me was completely unacceptable. At 9:00 a.m., two of them came into my room without knocking or announcing themselves, phones in hand, and started filming right away to tell me to check out. I extended my stay to noon and paid another €25 in advance. I told the host clearly that this must not happen again, yet shortly before noon those same employees entered again and filmed me. I was extremely upset and complained to the host. When I asked for their names, I wasn't given them. Instead, I was accused of smoking in the room, which I hadn't done. I waited for the host to get in touch, but got no response. This was a massive invasion of my privacy, so I will take legal action and file a complaint. Clean rooms and a good location, but guests are treated with complete disrespect. I absolutely don't recommend it.

Apartment No. 5, February 1st to February 4th: the accommodation was modern and clean, with ample parking, and service available 24/7. There was no snow removal despite a freezing rain weather warning and my written request. Also, smoke detectors were missing from the living/dining area, even though I'd explicitly requested them in writing and they were required by regulations. I'd avoid parking in the underground garage.

The area is a quiet, ordinary residential neighborhood, pleasant enough but nothing special. The house itself is newly built, with huge, modern apartments that still qualify as luxury self-catering accommodation. There's an underground garage too. The apartments feel oddly underfurnished for all that space. What furniture there is works perfectly well, but looks comically small in those enormous rooms. The place is unmanned, and the entrance door was so hard to open that at first we thought we'd been tricked. A truly interesting place to stay.

The check-in process asks for a copy of your ID card, which is a no-go for us. The room with the single bed also seemed more like a utility room, and we couldn't find a heating control there. The furnishings felt functional and simple to us, and the apartment seems better suited for rental purposes. Its central location is very nice, and the roof terrace must be lovely in summer.
