It was overpriced, and nothing about the place stood out. The owner came across as unfriendly and seemed unfamiliar with running a hotel. It felt like the hotel was just one of his businesses, and not the one he cared about most ;).

There weren’t any alternatives in L, which left us reaching for less polite words to describe the place. We’d prepaid for our group’s family celebration, but at check-in two couples were suddenly quoted higher rates for their double rooms than we’d agreed. Someone who’d decided to stay at the last minute was told, “...you don’t have to take it...”, while they were also asking for a higher price. That didn’t seem ethical. Payment was cash only, which might make a cynic wonder if something was fishy. The place was a dump and badly needed a complete overhaul. Everything looked worn out, mismatched, cobbled together, and patched up. There were cobwebs in every corner, so it clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned before we arrived. They charged a cleaning fee that should have been paid before check-in, and cleaning supplies were left lying around in the hallway. Not a pretty sight. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this establishment.
