Elan Hotel

The location is easily the best thing about the hotel. The room is nice, though room service only comes every 3 days. I still recommend staying here.

The receptionist deserves 5 stars, thanks for the service! It’s a good hotel for an overnight stop while crossing Germany. A few upgrades would help, and a small fridge would be a good idea.

We had a quiet night, and even though my room was near the elevators, noise wasn’t an issue. It was clean and had a large bed. The pillow was very soft and thin, but folding it worked fine. Maintenance could be better: there was a constant buzzing, maybe from a light bulb or LED. It didn’t disturb my sleep, since it was steady and more like a ventilator than an annoying changing sound. We’d struggled to find a reasonably priced hotel near the A3, then came across Elan Hotel while driving through Germany. I called at around 22:40 to check for rooms, and we booked two, one double and one single. The English-speaking receptionist was due to finish at midnight, when reception closes, but kindly waited for us as we were expected around then. Luckily, we arrived just a little earlier, at 23:50. We got our key cards and paid for the rooms and breakfast, 10Euro p.p. It was clean and quiet, with standard but good breakfast, free parking, and no service issues as long as you arrive before midnight. A great place to spend the night while travelling.

A clean, comfortable basic hotel, close to the motorway, petrol stations and fast food.
