The Hanssen couple were so attentive, empathetic, and accommodating. They left a lovely little gift on the table, and the folder of information was really comprehensive. There’s a good bus connection, with about a 300-meter walk to the stop, so getting around without a car was easy. We also liked two simple restaurants within walking distance: "s'Bräu Gaststätte ehem. Inselbrauerei" with its beer garden, and Pizzeria Da Pietro, simple but delicious, though reservations are recommended on weekends. On the island, we ate well at Onkel Toms Wirtshaus. Our apartment had loads of space and everything we needed. They even promptly provided the wheat beer glass that was missing. Above the rooftops of Lindau, it had a fantastic, unobstructed view of Lake Constance, sometimes reaching as far as the Säntis mountain depending on the weather. We had a wonderful week’s holiday at the beginning of September 2025, and wholeheartedly recommend the apartment.

The panoramic view is the apartment’s real highlight. From the dining table and the very spacious terrace, we could see the Swiss mountains opposite, the Rhine Valley, the Austrian Alps, and all of lower Lake Constance. The place sits above Lindau’s rooftops in Bäuerlinshalde, one of the most sought-after residential areas, with an unobstructed view of the lake. It’s spacious and has everything you could need, even a washing machine. The Hanssen couple were very empathetic and accommodating. They left a lovely gift on the table, shared valuable tips about the area and excursions, and surprised me with a kind birthday gesture, which isn’t always the case. Many sights are easy to reach, and the bus to the island makes it simple to get around without a car. Within walking distance, we’d recommend "s'Bräu Gaststätte ehem. Inselbrauerei" (formerly the island brewery) and Landgasthaus Köchlin, which has a beer garden. On the island, there’s also the "Alte Post" restaurant. We had a wonderful week’s holiday in mid-September and highly recommend the apartment.

It’s very peaceful here, a lovely place to relax away from everyday life, and we can wholeheartedly recommend the apartment. The owners are exceptionally nice and really do everything to make guests happy. For my birthday, they gave me a bottle of Prosecco, which I was delighted to receive. The apartment is top-notch and equipped with everything you could want, from an egg cooker and several coffee makers to a washing machine. There’s a covered carport for the car and bicycles, plus a charging point for an electric car. It’s beautifully situated, with a stunning view of Lake Constance.

Lake Constance is clearly visible from both the living room and bedroom, and the apartment is exceptionally peaceful, making for a relaxing, rejuvenating holiday. It’s very spacious, nicely furnished, and in a wonderful location. The owners are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. This holiday apartment deserves its 5 stars, and we highly recommend it. A must-stay!
