Hotel Reutemann - Seegarten

The location is perfect for visiting the Insel, and it’s just two blocks from the station. The breakfast is amazing, the bedrooms are well equipped, and the pools are okay, though they could be warmer when the weather is cool. You can also have lunch and dinner in the restaurant at normal prices. Check-in is at 16:00 and checkout at 12:00. There were problems with the invoicing, and the staff attitude was a familiar issue. In general, though, I recommend the place.

We were seated on the terrace, where I ordered a “Fruity Camomile” tea. It was basically plain chamomile, bland and not what the menu described. At €6.60, it felt ridiculous for something so low quality and misleading. A very disappointing experience, and definitely not worth the price.

We only stopped by the café-restaurant for coffee and dessert. The Strudel was excellent, and the staff were kind and professional. Recommended!

We had drinks on the terrace and were still enjoying our coffees and the views when a bald waiter told us we couldn’t pay by card. He wasn’t nice about it, and it seemed odd because people at another table were paying by card. We hadn’t even asked for the bill yet. We’d planned to stay for lunch, but decided to leave after that. Paying turned into a wait of about 30 minutes. He ignored us, then threw the bill on the table and walked away before we could pay. He served a few other tables before coming back. When we finally paid, he didn’t thank us or say anything, just walked off with an angry look while we were still thanking him. I’ve never considered making a complaint before, but this felt so rude that I thought about it, though it wasn’t worth my time. The other waiters seemed really nice, so I’d choose a table away from this bald man.
