Nordic Huis Modern Retreat

The location is good, and the bathroom is brand new. A bit of renovation could make the rest of the apartment much better. Upstairs, the bathroom water doesn't drain, and the hall light is broken. If you need to go up in the dark, you have to turn the light on upstairs first, then go back down to switch off the hallway light. The living room carpet is dirty and easy to trip over, and one sofa is so worn out it's unusable. The TV upstairs has no sound. I later saw a 2022 review mentioning the same problem, so it seems it was there before. We also had a strange issue with the tourist cards. We were asked to transfer the tourist tax a week before arrival, which we did immediately. The owner said the cards were on the table, but there were none there. We found 2023 cards in a window by the entrance and contacted the landlord about them and the broken TV. Two days later, the reply only asked us to return the expired cards. Nothing about our problems. That's crazy! At first glance the apartment seemed okay, but the second bedroom is really only suitable for children. You can't stand up straight in it, and there's just one flight of stairs. My father had to sleep there, and it was almost unbearable. Nobody told us this before we arrived.

The kids especially loved the playground right beside the terrace. After our mudflat walk, we had a wonderful meal at Oyster Pearl. The restaurant felt relaxed and friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the whole team kept things running smoothly. We felt very comfortable. My personal favorite was the names on the children's dishes. Photo attached :-D Simply brilliant, highly recommended!!

Oyster Pearl List, Landwehrdeich 33 was truly awful. The bedroom was a jumble of mismatched blankets and pillows, with two single beds pushed together and a 10cm gap between them. The furnishings were shabby, dirty, and worn out. There was hair from previous guests all over the bathroom, and the kitchen cupboards and dishes were filthy. The kitchen also had dirty dishes, broken cupboard and appliance doors, and an incomplete set of glasses, with only one wine glass. The carpet in the living room was absolutely filthy, if you could even call it a carpet. As soon as we opened the front door, a horrible stench hit us. The stairwell light was broken, so going out at night meant crawling up steep stairs in complete darkness. There was no parking on or at the property. Stay away from this terrible rip-off!
