Casa Ambiente was very comfortable for my one-night stay, and the staff were warm and funny. It’s well located, just 2 minutes from the train station and 1 minute from the bus station. I called a few hours before check-in to book, which I recommend because some websites showed a higher price than the actual one. They asked when I wanted breakfast; I chose 9, and they had it ready, with extra food since I don’t eat certain things. The restaurant food was delicious and surprisingly cheap. I absolutely recommend this hotel.

The shower wasn’t clean, and there was even rubbish in the soap holder. I also didn’t see a smoke detector on the ceiling, which I understand is required. Payment had to be made in advance, so a flexible departure wasn’t possible. The website said breakfast was included, but there was none, and I only found that out after paying.

The guesthouse felt cosy and welcoming, and the tasteful decor helped make it easy to settle in. My room was spacious, modern, clean, and had everything I needed, including a flat-screen TV, minibar, and free Wi-Fi. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well every night. The common areas and rooms were cleaned thoroughly each day. There’s also a comfortable lounge for relaxing after a long day. Breakfast was one of the best parts of my stay: a plentiful buffet with a varied mix of fresh continental and regional food. The staff were friendly and helpful from the warm welcome and easy check-in onward. They were available for questions and suggestions about restaurants and attractions. The guesthouse is a short walk from the city center, in quiet, safe surroundings, and public transport makes it easy to explore. For the quality of the stay and the service, I think the price was more than fair. Pension Sonnenblick offers a great experience at a reasonable price.
