Berghotel Kapitän Goltz

That generous breakfast buffet really impressed me, and the food was outstanding. It's a cozy hotel with very clean rooms that have everything you need, plus a warm and friendly atmosphere. I felt very comfortable and will definitely return.

The beds could do with some work, but everyone was incredibly friendly. We spent three days here over Easter, and it's a perfect place for a short stay. The setting is beautiful at 1050m, breakfast was plentiful, and dinner came from the restaurant menu.

We've returned every year for 15 years and still love coming back. The rooms are great, the food superb, and the service very friendly. There's a lovely family atmosphere and excellent service.

I've known Captain Goltz since the early 80s, and the place has changed a lot over the years. The old, sprawling building and restaurant have become a modern hotel. These days the menu is back to a normal size, and the food is still reliably delicious. There was a period when the menu was international and ran over 30 pages, and freshness suffered a bit. Before that, it was regional, and my highlight was the Bayerwald 'Pizza' with fresh mushrooms.
