The room was clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast was good. Dinner was okay, though not especially tasty. We’d picked our dinner time in advance and said we wanted to have a drink and play first, then eat. They served it very quickly anyway, even after we’d said we didn’t want it yet.

Take a walk through the herbal garden if you want to relax and enjoy nature. The owners are very friendly, and I’d highly recommend the half-board option because the meals are wonderful. It’s an excellent hotel in the Bavarian Forest.

Beautiful views from the bedrooms, and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. This is a cute, quiet hotel in a lovely setting, especially suited to hikers. The kitchen is good and everything is very well organised.
