The hotel and restaurant staff were amazing. I can't praise them enough, and there's an honesty bar for hotel guests. All cards are accepted except AMEX. It's a lovely countryside location, just a stone's throw from Bonn and Cologne, with plenty of nature and space and that typical German hospitality. My one complaint is that I need a much firmer pillow and mattress.

My husband and I were amazed by the warm service and delicious food. We had the Kalb Schnitzel and beef filet in mustard sauce, with burrata to start. We'll definitely come back.

We loved cooking our own meat on the hot stone. The food was really tasty, and the country-style restaurant had a nice crew.

The room on the third floor was cozy and very comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The hotel has a really unusual layout, and I'd never seen venetian blinds on a triangular window before.

Owner-managed, with personal service and a good restaurant, this is a charming, modern country hotel of a comfortable mid-size. It's about an hour's drive east of Cologne, and good value for the money.
