The walks from Lohme are a real highlight, with the forest trails nearby and Jasmund National Park just wonderful. The sea is also close. I stayed in a tidy, comfortable little apartment for two, and the house is only about a five-minute walk from the bus stop. I came by bus from Sassnitz. There’s a small supermarket in Lohme, though it’s closed in winter, so it’s best to shop in Sassnitz before or during your stay.

We’d happily come back if we visit Rügen again. The apartment was spotless and well equipped, with an oven, hob, kitchenware, and even coffee filters for the machine. It looks out over a green meadow where deer and hares sometimes appear, and the area is quiet, as is Lohme in general. The instructions for the key, tourist tax, towels, and bed linen were all clear, and the owner communicated well, including on WhatsApp. It’s a new apartment, with everything kept very clean, right down to the fresh silicone and the lack of dust.

Our hosts were so kind, and even gave us a hand when our car broke down. The apartment itself was excellent, tastefully furnished and comfortable in every way. Thanks for a lovely stay, we’d gladly return.

We keep coming back, and we’ve now stayed in one of the apartments for six years. It’s lovely to have the window open at night, with the sound of the waves and the smell of sea air. In the evening, there’s a view of the sea too. We’ll be back again!

We were greeted personally and warmly on arrival, and the apartment was comfortable, clean, and well looked after. It had everything we needed and was excellent value for the price. We’d be very happy to stay there again.
