Hotel Im Schulhaus

The service made my stay especially good. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely keen to make sure I was comfortable. I was surprised to find such a modern hotel in this charming little village. The recent renovation has left the building pristine, with sparkling floors and brand new furnishings throughout. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a large comfortable bed and plush pillows. I slept well, and the bathroom had modern fixtures and plenty of space too. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choice, from fresh fruit and pastries to eggs made to order. It set me up for my hikes. The location was handy for exploring the village on foot, with the Rhine River also within easy walking distance. I had a fantastic stay, with modern comfort, great service, and a convenient base for seeing the village and the beautiful Rhine River.

That old school building makes for a lovely hotel, with immaculate rooms and a friendly welcome. Breakfast was top quality, from homemade wurst to waffles you cook yourself. A perfect stop on a walking holiday.

Lorch is a beautiful area, though the town is pretty sleepy. There are a few restaurants and bars, but it’s definitely not a party town, hahaha. The hotel is very nice, with friendly staff and tidy, spacious rooms. Breakfast is good, with cheese, eggs, bread, yoghurt, and more. Nothing extraordinary, just good food. A mini fridge in the room would be useful. It’s easy to get here by train, and the walk is a little way but not steep.

Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and had plenty to choose from. We were also welcome to add bread and meat from the buffet to our packed lunches. The staff were ready to help as soon as we walked in, and it’s a fabulous hotel. Our room did have one odd feature: a picture window between the bedroom and bathroom. There’s a privacy shade, but seeing it still came as a surprise.
