The staff were friendly and helpful, and I found the room comfortable overall. It was a good size, with a useful desk and a great coffee machine. One light bulb took a while to come on, and I would’ve liked another desk lamp for the darker mornings. Since it’s an old building, sounds from other rooms carry, including hair dryers and sneezing. Breakfast choices were limited, and the cold toasted bread wasn’t for me. I wish there’d been a toaster so I could have it warm and fresh. The location is easy to get around on foot, near restaurants and most amenities.

The staff were professional and courteous, and the breakfast area was clean and neatly arranged, with an excellent food selection. My room was clean, modern, and well equipped with everything I needed. Restaurants, shops, the station, and local sights were all an easy walk away. The buildings are older but have been modernized, so some rooms may have unusual wall angles or support beams in awkward spots. It was a very nice stay for a reasonable price.

The old staircase was a highlight for us. We climbed a pair of stairs that were 200 years old on the way up to our hotel room, and it was amazing for us coming from California to see such a historic feature still in use. We took lots of pictures, and the stairs felt very safe.

My room was more like a loft, with its own kitchen and really everything you could need. It was amazingly clean and a great space, with lovely people and an awesome location. It’s a little expensive, but prices seemed much the same at other Ludwigsburg hotels, so it didn’t really matter. I had a wonderful night and was so happy. Seriously, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It felt special, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it again soon.

The hotel is right in the city center, with modern, spacious rooms spread across three separate old houses. We had a lovely short trip and visited Forum am Schlosspark and the baroque Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg.
