Am Mühlenteich

Small rooms in a small, clean hotel, and I loved the view from the little balcony. I'd recommend it if you don't need much space and just want somewhere to sleep.

The apartment was clean and really good, and we all felt at home there. My husband, kids, and I were happy with this apartment hotel. The staff member was very kind and gave me lots of useful answers. There was a great view out the window, and the city hall, cathedrals, and supermarket were nearby. I'd stay here again when I travel to Lubeck.

My booking through booking.com was for one night during Covid-19, when only business guests were allowed. Just five minutes before I arrived, I was told it had been cancelled. When I called, a gruff receptionist said they didn't believe I was travelling for business, apparently because the number on my booking was a mobile. My previous booking had been in the UK, so it was a UK number. The receptionist also made it clear that showing up with proof of my business credentials wouldn't change their decision. I went to another hotel, a Radisson, and they upgraded my booking without me even explaining what had happened. The way Hotel am Mühlenteich treated me was really disappointing.

The person in charge was definitely friendly, but privacy is a concern when the toilet and shower are outside the room. The room was also much smaller than I expected.
