Our family had a wonderful Christmas Market trip staying in the Consul Buddenbrook apartment. It’s an old, historic Lübeck house with a charmingly crooked shape. Inside, the furnishings are new and the kitchen is well equipped. Everything is close by, including a supermarket and parking.

We’ve stayed at this house twice now and enjoyed both visits. The slightly crooked, askew feel is typical of Lübeck and adds to its charm. Our apartment, Tonio Kröger, was roomy and modern. Two bakeries are just around the corner, and the old town, including the cathedral and town hall, is about a 10-minute walk away. We’d definitely return.
