At Dormero Hotel Bargenturm Lüneburg, everything else was good, but the mattress was unbearable. My colleagues had the same problem in their rooms. A comfortable bed matters for a good stay, and those mattresses really took away from what was otherwise a pleasant experience.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed, and the free mini-bar was a nice surprise. Check-in and check-out were both smooth. I also had a work call, and the Wi-Fi worked wonderfully the whole time. We loved staying here and only wished we’d booked more than one night!

I booked a block of rooms here for my wedding guests, and the place was fantastic. The accommodation was great value, and the breakfast buffet was amazing, even though it usually isn’t included in the room rate. There’s a beautiful view right over the canal, plus a fun atmosphere with pool and foosball tables in the lobby and quirky jokes throughout the hotel. Some days, two white cats were hanging out in the lobby too, such a unique touch! The front desk staff were kind and accommodating, and their English was great for my guests who don’t speak German. Thanks!
