Breakfast comes right to your table, which was great, and parking is free. The hotel is small and feels personal, with really helpful, friendly staff and bright, modern rooms. It's only a short walk to the city centre. There isn't a lift, so anyone who needs one should probably look elsewhere. I did miss having a fridge in the room, but somehow managed without it. 😁

The food is refined but still suits the relaxed, unpretentious feel of the place. This charming Altstadt Hotel and Restaurant is in a great spot for enjoying Lüneburg, and the professional, highly qualified staff are friendly too. The small, modern bedrooms are thoughtfully designed within the old building.

Check the check-in hours carefully. I arrived to find the hotel closed, even though my room had been booked well in advance. There was no mobile or emergency number to call, so I had nowhere to stay.

The staff were nice and the food was pretty good. The coffee could use some work...

The location is good, but handling luggage on the way up and down is awkward. I probably won't stay here again.
