The spa had a lot to offer, including infrared, steam, dry sauna, and even an ice dip. It was European style, so no clothes, and closed at 20:00. There was also a pool, though I didn’t check it out. We were there for a weekend getaway and would definitely go back for a relaxing spa break. The room was small, with the sink in the bed area, and the shower and toilet smelled sulfurous when we arrived. The bed was comfortable, and even though the view looked onto the beer garden, it still felt removed from town. Breakfast was a delight, and the friendly staff gave us all the information we needed before we had to ask.

There are miles of forest paths nearby for walking, and the setting is beautiful. It also works well as a base for touring, with good motorcycling routes. When it’s time to relax, there’s a spa, pool, fitness area, and lovely little enclosures on the grass where you can unwind. The hotel is large, but a small, friendly team runs the front of house. Andreas remembers people’s faces and their drinks after the first order. Breakfast has an excellent spread for all kinds of tastes, and the fixed price dinner is just as impressive. Lovely hotel and great value for money.

The hotel team put together a full birthday setup for my dad on my behalf, even though I live in another country and couldn’t join my parents for their short trip. They arranged it at very short notice, were friendly, quick and professional, and chose lovely presents. My parents went for my father’s birthday and enjoyed the trip immensely. Thank you so much. You made an unforgettable day for my dad and our family!

The pool and sauna were lovely, the restaurant and bar staff were exceptionally friendly and warm, and there are hiking trails starting right from the property. But the stay was only okay, and we expected more from a so-called 4-star hotel. We thought parking was free because nobody mentioned the fee at check-in. We only found out at checkout, when the bill showed 5 euros per day. Breakfast was my biggest disappointment. The buffet was nearly empty each morning and rarely replenished. Breakfast runs from 7 AM to 10 AM, so arriving at 9 or 9:30 shouldn’t mean there’s barely anything left. That was really frustrating.
