We were completely satisfied with the guesthouse. The room was clean, breakfast was good, and the owners were friendly. The only downside is that there are no places left in Mähring to get dinner.

We had a wonderful vacation and will be back. The apartment was very well equipped, with nothing missing, and it’s highly recommended for a relaxing break. Nearby, Tirschenreuth has the Himmelsleiter and a beautiful view. Marienbad in the Czech Republic is 17 km away and also beautiful, well worth a visit. Bad Neualbenreuth and the Sybillenbad are 15 km away, excellent too. There are very nice country inns around at reasonable prices. We were told to look for inns with their own butcher shop. We really enjoyed the "Kleine Kappl" and the Zoigl "Kramer-Wolf" in Falkenberg. The home-brewed beer, hearty snacks, and lovely beer garden were great. We got chatting with the locals right away, and it made for a very pleasant evening. There’s no need to reserve. Just join the other guests in the restaurant or beer garden and you’re guaranteed to make friends! The Zoigl calendar listing the community breweries’ opening hours is available in the Google Play Store, and it’s very helpful.
