Ferienwohnung Hörger

A lovely house in south Bavaria, with helpful owners. Great for a vacation with kids of any age. Just tricky to find the first time :)

There’s great sledding right outside the house, and you can get straight onto the cross-country ski trails. We stayed for a week at the beginning of December in the Hörger family's holiday apartment in Maierhöfen. It was comfortable and very well furnished, and the Hörger family's hospitality made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely come back.

Our booking was cancelled in the end, and we were left out of luck. We’re four people who wanted a weekend in a vacation apartment. We had a booking confirmation and had paid, but a few days later they called to say we couldn’t have the apartment anymore because a new booking had come in for a longer stay. They offered another place, but it was in a different location and was a hotel room rather than an apartment, so it didn’t suit us. I see this as a breach of contract and an outrage, simply being "kicked out" like that. I’d never book here again. Is this extreme unreliability for the sake of profit? I absolutely can’t recommend this company.

The landlady was friendly, and the apartment had everything we could need. It was beautiful, clean, and welcoming, in a quiet but central location.
