Hotel Restaurant La Corona

The view from our room was lovely, and I actually enjoyed the town bell above the hotel ringing every 15 minutes. But the stay itself was quite unpleasant. We paid 90 Euros for the room and another 40 for the woman who visited us. The first thing we noticed on entering was the strong smell of fresh Italian cooking. After that, the good part was over. The female host was impatient and strict, and made my friend and me feel she wanted to get rid of us. She told us not to carry our three bags at once because she didn't want the walls scratched. A family member told her that a female friend had come to see us. When the host next saw us, she immediately asked whether the friend would stay, and said we had to pay if she did. I found that strange since I'd booked the room and thought a friend could join me as long as the neighbors weren't disturbed. Maybe local customs differ, so we complied and paid in advance. Even then, the hotel didn't provide an extra bed, linen, or blanket for her. I heard dinner was amazing, but I wasn't there, so this review is only about the hotel. There was no Wi-Fi. The toilet paper was in a closet instead of on the holder, and there was just one small, single-use personal shampoo. When I asked to check out later than 11 AM, even by ten minutes, the answer was no. I was the last one in the room and stayed until 11:08 AM. At 11, while I was still there finishing up, the cleaning lady came in, spoke angrily to me, and started cleaning. That felt unpleasant. Afterward, I strongly advised the hostess to install Wi-Fi, and she said it was absolutely unacceptable not to pay for another guest. I hope this account helps you make an informed choice.

There were four of us at the table. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. I can definitely recommend this Italian restaurant.

A good range of food, including a few specials with a German twist, at this great Italian restaurant. It was open on Monday evening too, when many local places are closed.
