ACHAT Hotel Frankfurt Maintal

There’s a bus stop right outside and plenty of parking. In good weather, you can walk to the train station and shops, and the bike path along the Main makes for a pleasant stroll. The hotel itself is clean and modern, and the staff were really friendly. We skipped breakfast, so I can’t say how that is. A great place to stay around Maintal.

The service was friendly, and the location worked well. I was only there for a seminar, so I can’t comment on the bedrooms. The seminar space was spacious, with plenty of daylight and fresh air, and it had good equipment.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The room was cold even with the thermostat turned up, and when I asked for another blanket or duvet, staff said they didn’t have any. They weren’t helpful. There was no phone in the room and no fridge either. The location is poor, with a taxi from the centre costing €45-50. The four-star rating doesn’t fit; I’d give it fewer than three.

There is parking at the property, and the air conditioning works extremely well. The rooms are large and clean, with comfortable beds, though the hard floors carry noise from people moving around in nearby rooms. They’re basic, and the hotel feels dated despite being listed as four-star. The restaurant and seating area feel more like a canteen, and breakfast is adequate rather than lavish. The shower temperature kept shifting between hot and cold. Wi-Fi is free but very slow and cuts out repeatedly. The hotel is in a housing estate and fairly remote, so you’ll need to travel to find restaurants.
