Being right by the lake was a real highlight, and the swimming area was an easy walk away. We had six families together over Pentecost weekend, and there was enough space, rooms, and bathrooms for everyone. The big garden and roomy shared areas made it easy to eat together and spend time as a group. It's a beautiful house, just right for our family reunion. We'd love to return.

We were a group of 16 and had booked the whole house. The lake view is beautiful, and having a bathroom in every room made the stay especially convenient. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and the wide choice of games kept everyone happy. Communication with the owner was excellent too. We'd definitely recommend the house.

The rooms and apartments feel much like a hotel, and there's a guaranteed view of the lake. It's a beautiful, well-kept house that works really well for groups.

The location was nice, and it was quick to get into town to rent boats or explore Malchow. For one night it was okay, but for a longer stay I'd want to be aware of the house rules. We had booked two nights at Strandhaus Malchow, but left after just one. The stay fell well short of our expectations from the earlier reviews, and I'd give it no more than 2.5 stars. The smell throughout the hallway and our room was unpleasant. Cleaning was only mediocre: there were lots of insects and cobwebs up by the ceiling, which we had to remove ourselves. The walls are very thin, so noises from the shared kitchen, like the microwave and dishes, carry straight into the room. We booked the terrace room, Uferschwalbe, for its "dreamlike" sea view. But when someone sat on the shared terrace right in front of the window, we could see their plate and they could see into our room. We ended up needing to keep the curtains closed. The small private terrace wasn't much better, with a dirty ashtray on an unclean table, lots of bird droppings around the seating area, and the table and chairs scattered awkwardly. The bed was another problem. The mattresses were worn and extremely soft, and turning over woke the other person. The sheet also had several obvious holes. We hadn't planned to stay there again. It's a shame, since we'd pictured something different.
