Gästehaus Schwentineblick

It was easy to collect the key, and there was a very friendly woman in the breakfast and common room each morning. She even poured me a coffee after 10. Drinks are available there any time, including wine, beer, and tea. We booked this guesthouse for a spontaneous Baltic Sea weekend because it was affordable, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Our room was small but well laid out, with a spacious balcony. The central heating didn’t really warm up, but they quickly provided an oil radiator, which worked perfectly. The rooms are very noisy, though. We could hear the neighbors, with loud kids and shouting, but the host can’t be blamed for people behaving like that. There are only three parking spaces, so finding somewhere on the street comes down to luck. The entrance smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, although thankfully the rooms didn’t.

We keep coming back. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the beds are really comfortable. Breakfast is worth what it costs. We’ll definitely return.

For a short visit, I think the room would be perfectly fine. I stayed for four weeks while working for my employer, and mine wasn’t really suited to such a long stretch. The ventilation was poor, and fly screens on the windows might be worth considering. Everything was very clean, though, and the staff and owners were friendly and helpful. The garden is lovely, and breakfast is always prepared with care. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

The room had been modernized and was a decent size, though our bathroom was quite small. We booked at short notice. Breakfast was amazing, and the service and owners were absolutely top-notch. I’d stay here again.
