Mike really made the stay for us. He was cheerful and warm, always happy to chat or share a laugh, and such a memorable host. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and breakfast was fantastic too. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the place.

The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was fantastic. What stood out most was Mike's warm welcome and the care he put into looking after us. He's a one of a kind host, always ready for a chat and a joke. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

I only stayed for one night, but everything went smoothly. The host was really friendly and attentive, and went out of his way to help me. The price felt fair for one person, and there was a garage where I could store my bike. Some of the friendliest treatment I've had in Germany in quite a while.

We'd already booked for next year after another lovely two nights at Die Alte Schleuse. Mike looked after us so well, even booking restaurants for us ahead of time, and it was easy to park our vehicles indoors. The rooms and the rest of the inn were spotless. Thanks, Mike, for your care and hospitality. We're looking forward to coming back.

After a drink at the bar, it was easy to head to bed feeling relaxed. The beds are really good, and Mike serves a delicious breakfast at the table. It's a lovely, informal B&B, and Mike is friendly and helpful, taking care of things and making life feel less stressful.
