Hostel-Marburg-One

I don’t expect luxury for €50 a night, but I do expect a basic level of soundproofing and to be treated respectfully. Noise from the room next door was so loud that I could barely sleep. When I brought it up, I was told my complaint was unreasonable because I had “only paid €50.” That felt dismissive and unprofessional. I hope management takes guest feedback more seriously.

I stayed at Hostel Marburg One from 13-16 July 2025, and its spot near the train station made getting around easy. The city center is also within walking distance. My room was quiet, comfortable, very clean, and had everything I needed. The staff were welcoming and professional, and always ready to help. I had a fantastic stay in Marburg.

The location was handy for both the city center and the train station, and the service was amazing. My room did get somewhat hot, so air conditioning would be useful. It was also really noisy much of the time. Better sound isolation in the rooms might help.

The only small problem in our room was the weak Wi-Fi connection. Otherwise, everything was very clean and colorful, the bedding was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There were spacious private lockers in each room, and towels were included for free.
