Hotel - Restaurant Dammühle

The setting is what keeps me coming back. I’m here for my sixth visit, and it’s a fantastic spot for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature in the countryside. The hotel is traditional and quirky, with art pieces across its various buildings. The rooms are always clean, to a good standard, and similar across the buildings. Food is traditional, and the service is exceptional. I’ve been served by the same staff for six years.

The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with tasty pastries, fresh fruit, and plenty of cheeses and meats. We also found the location ideal, with easy access to Marburg's historic center and the scenic surroundings. I spent a wonderful week at Dammühle Hotel in Marburg, Germany, and it felt like home. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and my room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. A warm, comfortable stay for me, five out of five.

The food, drinks, and customer service were especially good during our company team meeting. We had an excellent time, with a good meeting room and facilities. A few more power sockets at the tables would have been welcome.

The restaurant is usually full, so I’d recommend booking at least a day ahead. The food was delicious, with generous portions and good value, and I liked the luxurious design. The mill is full of character, in a peaceful countryside setting. It’s hard to see much of the place in the dark at night, but the nice houses are lovely to admire in the morning.
