After hours on the road, I needed somewhere to rest, so I stopped at the Ochsen. It’s the only hotel in this charming little village, set in a magical landscape that feels a bit sleepy. The rooms are simply and practically furnished, and there’s a peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant serves traditional dishes and regional specialties. I especially remember the generous breakfast buffet.

I really like this hotel. Everyone around you is friendly and easygoing, and the room, toilet, and area outside the door are kept clean and fresh. Breakfast starts at 7:00 and is included with your stay, with plenty to choose from and no extra charge. In the afternoon you can buy whatever food and drinks you like. I’d like to show a few pictures from here. Have a look on your own :)

Our table was outside, tucked among all the pots of hydrangeas.

The restaurant right beside the hotel is a nice extra. The rooms look newly refurbished and were very clean, with lots of wood for that typical German feel. Breakfast is a small selection of bread, eggs, cereal, and yogurt.

A beer garden in a lovely setting, friendly staff, and straightforward, good German classics.
