Hotel Mainblick

The room was comfortable, cozy, and very clean, and breakfast had a great range of choices, including fruit salad, which I really appreciate in the morning. The place feels thoughtfully cared for, with gentle decorations and plants along the stairs. The location was lovely and the staff were so friendly. One of the best places we've ever stayed.

Mainblick has become a home away from home for us, and Anna is now a friend I greet with a hug. We first found Marktheidenfeld five years ago when we needed a bed after a long drive, and we've come back five more times since. The town feels authentic, with an old center rooted in centuries of history, everyday modern life, and good local food, while staying mostly off the tourist radar. In my opinion, Mainblick is the best place in town when you consider everything, especially the location. It's a clean, characterful guest house with comfortable beds. Breakfast is a typical German one, with good coffee and eggs cooked to order. Free parking nearby is handy. The hotel faces the river, with guest tables out front and lovely flowers in the window boxes. There's beer and wine in a fridge on an honor system. A short walk takes you to local restaurants and the riverside town beer garden run by the very good brewery Martinsbrau. We usually seem to be the only Americans there. It feels more like a local gathering place than a tourist spot. I highly recommend it.

I spent three nights at Mainblick and would happily recommend it. The staff were warm and welcoming, and my room was spotless with a view across the river. Waking up to the birds singing and that view made for a lovely start to the day. Breakfast was nice too. I'll definitely stay here again when I next visit Marktheidenfeld.

On our fourth stay at Hotel Mainblick in Marktheidenfeld, we enjoyed it even more than before. Herr u. Frau Eberlein have kept updating and improving the hotel over the years, and you can see their care in the details and the attentive service. They've created a welcoming feel in both the rooms and at breakfast, while Frau Eberlein's attention to the flowers and plants makes the place restful. Many rooms look out over the Main River, just 60 feet away. There's quality Italian food served next door by the river. The hotel is tucked away from busy tourist spots and well worth visiting. Highly recommended.
