I stay in hotels all over Germany, and this was one of the worst. The rooms were uncomfortable, breakfast felt very low effort, and the owner was rude and unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend it.

We were hiking the E1 long-distance trail and stopped here overnight. The place is dated, but fine for one night, especially since there's no other option in town. The owner is enthusiastic and chatty, and the hotel seems to get foreign construction workers staying for day and night shifts. Dinner wasn't much better than the breakfast. The schnitzel came with broccoli and cauliflower cooked into a completely mushy mix. Breakfast cost €15 and was disappointing: two plain pre-baked rolls, a little margarine, sausage, cheese and jam that we had to ask for, plus a boiled egg and sliced tomato. A third roll cost another €1, and we waited 10 minutes for it.

We'd happily stay again. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious with excellent coffee. The hotel is dated and the decor is all over the place, but it has its own charm and everything was very clean.
