We were welcomed so warmly, and the home felt comfortable from the very first moment. It’s cozily and tastefully furnished, with real care given to every detail, and the beautiful natural surroundings made it easy to feel at ease. We’d strongly recommend going on some longer hikes, then enjoying a traditional Bavarian meal at one of the local inns.

Finsterau is a great base for walks through the national park, and the host family were very friendly. The holiday home is lovely and comfortable, with tasteful furnishings and a kitchen stocked with everything you might need. Highly recommended.

The peace and the view made this a wonderful place to unwind, with plenty of hikes to set off on nearby. Inside, the house had a cozy cabin feel and so much care in the details. There were little homey touches everywhere, from the overflowing fruit basket, jam, and wine to the sauna with its plush towels and the fully equipped kitchen. We wanted for nothing and felt incredibly comfortable. A huge thanks to the hosts, who even sent us some things we’d left behind.
