Center Parcs Park Hochsauerland

The waterpark was spacious and clean, with fun slides for different ages, more than we’ve seen at some other parks. We also enjoyed both the grill restaurant and the buffet. The park sits in the hills by ski slopes and hiking trails, and near Europe’s longest playground, which I’d definitely recommend. There’s a very good German restaurant there where you can pay by card.

For hiking and enjoying the natural scenery, I’d really recommend this place. The park is great for kids, though the food could be better. That part doesn’t feel particularly high quality.

We stayed for three nights and had a pretty good experience overall. The pillow was really uncomfortable, though. Our two kids absolutely loved aqua mundo, and the reception and gate staff were very friendly and efficient.

The houses are nicely spaced out and have good soundproofing. I liked that the restaurant, pool, supermarket, and shops are all together under one roof by the same entrance. There are lots of activities for kids, though each costs extra. The main attraction is the pool area, which feels like a little water park with slides, a tropical paradise to me. There’s an outdoor pool too, and unlimited entry is included with the stay, so you can go as often as you like. Winterberg is only about a 15-minute drive away.
